裙襬搖搖LPGA菁英賽是美巡（LPGA）與台巡（TLPGA）共同認證賽事，也是LPGA賽史上第1場由台灣人在美國本土舉辦的LPGA比賽，中國信託去年起情義相挺，已連續兩年贊助比賽共襄盛舉。

本屆參加陣容堅強，除了衛冕者「球后」高寶璟，世界排名第3的美國湯普森、第4的美國路伊絲、第5的韓國金世英、第6的韓國田仁智、第7的加拿大18歲新秀韓德森、第8的韓國張荷娜、第9的韓國梁熙英與第10的中國馮珊珊，世界前10到了9人，只有世界第2的韓國朴仁妃缺席。
